U.S. State Department Acknowledges Right to Override Medicines Patents for Health Reasons

In response to a letter from access to medicines activists and organizations, the U.S. State Department explicitly acknowledged the TRIPS Agreement right to issue compulsory licenses for pharmaceuticals. The letter can be found below.
