Save the date! PFAM is partnering with T1International and Public Citizen, to put on a demonstration prompting Eli Lilly, producer of Humalog insulin to answer the following asks:
- We ask that Eli Lilly be transparent about how much it costs to make one vial of Humalog insulin
- We ask that Eli Lilly be transparent about the company's profits from each vial
- We ask that Eli Lilly lower the price of insulin.
We ask these things because insulin is necessary for survival. Currently, Eli Lilly keeps the price of producing insulin a tightly-guarded secret. At its current cost, people cannot afford a medication that is necessary for survival. It is immoral for Eli Lilly to price-gauge people with a medicine that is necessary for survival. Therefore, on September 9, 2017 from 1:00-3:00pm; with remarks at 2:00pm, we are holding a #insulin4all demonstration.
